Jewellery Care

General care

All of Jeanne Kang jewellery is thoughtfully handcrafted using only the finest quality metals and gemstones. We love the colour variations found in our natural stones, enhancing their beauty and making them unique for the wearer.

When not in use, store your jewellery in a soft lined jewellery box to avoid damaging. Never wear your jewellery whilst swimming or bathing, washing up, cleaning or using harsh chemicals, performing sports or heavy-duty activities. Always put your jewellery on as a final touch to avoid contact with chemicals found in perfumes, hair and beauty products etc.

Precious metals

We use finest quality precious metals such as 14K and 18K gold for our jewellery. Yellow gold, white gold and rose gold jewellery pieces can be cleaned and polished using a jewellery polishing cloth. While these materials are durable enough to wear everyday, it is recommended to remove when showering or applying skin cares, perfumes or make up. This will retain the polished finish for longer. They can also be cleaned in an ultrasonic jewellery cleaner.

Pearls

Pearls are more delicate than most gems, so they require special care. Store your pearl jewellery in a soft pouch or soft lined separate box to minimise contact with other jewellery. Leaving pearl jewellery in a security box for long periods may cause pearls to dehydrate, so enjoy them frequently.

  • Clean pearls regular with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Never use an ultrasonic jewellery cleaner or steam clean.
  • Avoid contacting with vinegar, fruit juices or detergents.
  • Remove them before applying hair spray, cosmetics or perfume.
  • They can be harmed by harsh chemicals found in household cleaners.
  • Do not leave your pearl jewellery in extreme environment.(heat, direct sunlight, etc)
  • Do not wear them whilst swimming or bathing. Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools.
  • Do not wear them in a sauna.

Diamonds

Every diamond is extremely hard and durable but diamonds are not indestructible. To keep your diamond looking brilliant over time, careful maintenance is recommended. They can be chipped by a sharp blow, become looser or lost in a weakened setting, or be damaged by contact with other diamonds.

  • Don’t let your diamond rings come into contact with hard surfaces.
  • Wash and brush gently in a bowl of warm water with mild detergent and pat dry.
  • Diamonds can be cleaned in an ultrasonic jewellery cleaner. Please follow the instructions.
  • Do not store diamond jewellery together. Keep separate to avoid scratching.
  • Store in separate pouches or a soft-lined box with compartments.
